Caparsa is located in Chianti, more precisely in the picturesque Chianti-Classico municipality of Radda in Chianti. Caparsa has been run by Paolo Cianferoni since 1982, when Paolo took over from his father, Prof. Reginaldo Cianferoni. He started the house in 1965, when the first vineyards were planted.


The philosophy at Caparsa can be described in one word: tradition.

A philosophy that is evident through a focus on the region's classic grapes, spontaneous fermentation, minimal addition of sulfur, the use of cement and large used barrels in the cellar.

All to let the quality of the fruit shine through. For Caparsa, quality means healthy grapes.

Which has been the case since the late 1980s, when they became organically certified. Caparsa's wines are fresh, authentic and classic Chianti Classico in a nutshell.
